We made a post about the shortest day of the year so we figured we should make one about the longest day as well. The sun officially rose at 3:54am and set at 10:44pm on June 21. However because of the sun's circular arc it is never far below the horizon (if we were at the north pole it would circle our heads like a halo). As such it doesn't ever get really dark this time of year. This photo was taken from our balcony around 11pm.Sunday, July 3, 2011
