More Pictures of our Flat

We've finally finished fully moving in to our apartment.  Our pictures are on the wall and Lucas's TV is hooked up and working great.  Here are some photos Jean took today:

Sandwich Toaster != Waffle Iron

We thought it'd be nice to make waffles today and bought all the needed items from the store. However once we got back home we realized we didn't have a waffle iron but rather a sandwich toaster.  Waffle pancakes on the stove top just aren't the same.

On a related note Jean informs me that not everyone knows that the programming syntax != is easy shorthand for the phrase "not equal"

1st Snow

It snowed for the first time last night.  It will probably melt in a few hours but it was still a shock to see snow in October!

Search of the Flea Market and Driving the Car

Yesterday, we went in search of the Oslo Flea Market, that is actually supposed to be pretty cool.  Unfortunately, we were unable to find it but we did find a popular section of the city.  We spend 2 hours wondering up and down streets and into stores.

Lucas also drove our car for the first time yesterday.  We didn't really have anywhere to go but after awhile we stopped that the neighborhood Esso station to fill up at the low price of $8.16 per gallon.

Beautiful Day

It's a beautiful day in Oslo!  It's been almost 2 weeks since we've seen sun in Norway and we've missed it!

Germany Trip

We had a great time in Germany, even though it rained 7 out of the 9 days we were there.  Highlights include seeing a Panda Bear, touching a Penguin, going to Oktoberfest, and seeing the castles.  The picture of the left is us in front of Neuschwanstein Castle (aka the Disney Castle).  To see more of the 994 pictures click HERE.

Our Car

We bought our car from Kelly Walker (the person I replaced) before we arrived in Norway.  It has sat in our parking spot since we got here pending registration with the government and insurance.  Today we finally got the registration for car so we plan to take it for a spin for the first time this weekend.  Though at over $7 per gallon we probably won't drive too far!
