Germany
We leave for Germany tomorrow. We are spending 3 days in Berlin, 3 in Munich, and 3 in Bavaria. We come home on October 3rd. Jean is excited about going to the Berlin zoo and seeing Panda Bears. Lucas is excited about Neuschwanstein Castle. We are both excited about going to the 200th Oktoberfest.

Church
We went to church for the first time on Sunday September 19th. It's called the American Lutheran Church. It was nice to be at an English speaking church, surrounded by English speaking people for the first time in about a month. We will probably make this our church home. Everyone was really nice and they serve waffles every Sunday!
Insurance
We meet with the insurance people on Monday September 20. It turns out car insurance here is really, really expensive and a lot more of than we expected. Thankfully once we prove that we have safe driving records, it will be cut if half.

Stuff
Our stuff is being delivered today! Finally! They moved it out on August 18th and we were told it could be up to 20 days before it was delivered. 4 weeks later, it is finally here. It's going to be hard to focus on school and not rip open every box. It's almost like a late birthday present/early Christmas!
Norwegian Lessons
We had our first Norwegian lesson today. It went well. Maria (our instructor) is very nice and patient. The hardest thing about the language is that it kinda looks like English but it is pronounced completely different.
We will be doing the lessons every Tuesday and Thursday, until our 200 hours is up.

Belgium Birthday!
It's Jean's birthday today! We are celebrating by spending the weekend in Belgium. First in Brugges then in Brussels. Hopefully the waffels, beer, and chocolate will make for a memorable 25th birthday.

Bronchitis
The day before we flew to Oslo, Jean started feeling really sick. We thought it was just a cold and that it would go away, but a week later it wasn't getting any better, so we decided to go to the hospital. It was an experience getting there. We had to take a train and a bus there and then figure out where to be in the hospital. About an hour later we were told that Jean has bronchitis. We were able to get her medications filled right away at the hospital. It's been a couple of days and she is starting to feel a little better and have more energy. Our goal is that she feels completely better by next weekend when we go to Belgium!
